It seems like in this day and age, you can’t go anywhere without someone asking you about your smartphone app. Rarely do people want to know when the car is ready to leave, when the bus is coming or what time dinner will be served. They want to know if they should download that new game, what does their monthly data plan look like or why their phone isn’t connecting well. Your phone may not connect well because its browser isn’t compatible with your release of Windows 7. This article will show you how to resolve that problem. The first step is to plug your phone into the computer. Once the phone is plugged in, you want to make sure you are on Windows 7 XP SP3 Compatibility Mode. This can be done by right clicking on the .exe file for your browser and clicking “properties”. Go to the compatibility tab and select “Run this program in compatibility mode” and select Windows XP (Service Pack 3). Then click “Apply” and after that, “OK”. Now, go ahead and double click on the . exe for your phone browser. After the file launches, click on the side menu to check for updates. If there are any, they will be listed here. Click on the most recent one and let Windows 7 update the files. Once that is complete, you can now go ahead and click on the Internet Options entry in the side menu of Internet Explorer 8. Click on Compatibility View Settings and then select Windows XP (Service Pack 3). Click “OK” then “Apply” to finalize that change. Now that everything is set up correctly, you can go ahead and open up your browser and try out a webpage. You should now be able to see if it is compatible with your release of Windows 7. So, once you’ve updated Windows 7 and you can see your phone browser isn’t compatible, go ahead and try out a webpage. If it isn’t at least partially compatible with your version of Windows 7, you will need to update that specific browser. Of course, there is a caveat to this. There are a few things that may not work with internet websites as expected. For example, the default settings for your home page may not be the best if you are using your phone’s browser. It is possible that there are difficulties accessing the settings menu to change any of these settings, which should be fixed by updating Windows 7 (it must be at least Service Pack 1). And things like social networking sites can be problematic as well. However, if you are diligent about checking out the status of your favorite websites, especially if you’re concerned about potentially wasting time on a website that seems like it may not work correctly (i.e. Facebook), then at least you can steer clear of those problems or at least make peace with them ahead of time. cfa1e77820
